Music, Art, Drama and Dance form a vibrant part of our curriculum from Grade R to Grade 7. Through the Arts, our learners discover their voices, grow in confidence, and develop creative, independent thinking skills that enrich every area of learning.
Every year, our primary school presents a full-scale, professional stage production performed from script and featuring every learner. This unforgettable experience nurtures confidence, teamwork, discipline and a lifelong appreciation for the performing.
Formal Art, Drama, Dance and Music lessons are part of our school day from Grade R to Grade 7. Our incredibly dynamic arts department mentor our children in a way that ensures they perform with confidence in front of an audience and enjoy creating art.
We are proud to be the undisputed winner of the National Eisteddfod Award for the Best Overall Performance of an Institution in the Johannesburg Region for 11 consecutive years.
For the last 3 years we have achieved second place nationally – a reflection of our sustanined excellence and commitment to the Arts.
Our much anticipated annual Art Exhibition celebrates the creativity of every child. Each learner has at least one artwork on display, alongside all award-winning Eisteddfod pieces of the year. It is a proud moment for our school community and a showcase of the remarkable talent within our classrooms.
Orban School is an independent, proudly South African school in the heart of the Melville Koppies.
